UC Davis MBA Program Ranks Among
Nation's Best for 14th Consecutive Year

(Davis, CA) -- The UC Davis Graduate School of Management has been ranked among the top 50 business schools in the nation by U.S.News & World Report, the 14th consecutive year the magazine has included the UC Davis MBA program in its annual America’s Best Graduate Schools survey.

The magazine's latest rankings released April 23, 2009, places the UC Davis MBA program among the top 25 business schools at public universities and 40th overall, up from 44th last year.

"We have always invested in the fundamentals—high-quality faculty, top students and a rich learning experience only a small school can provide,” said Nicole Woolsey Biggart, dean of the management school. “I'm grateful that our excellence has been honored for 14 straight years. This is truly phenomenal recognition."

The UC Davis Graduate School of Management has been ranked in the top 50 every year since 1996, and continues to be the youngest business school within a public institution ever ranked by the magazine. With 120 full-time students, UC Davis is the smallest MBA program ranked among the top 40.

The UC Davis MBA program also remains one of the country's most selective. Less than 25 percent of applicants to the Daytime MBA program are accepted—the 18th most competitive in the nation. UC Davis MBA students enter with an average Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score ranked among the top 35 schools.

UC Davis is one of only 35 business schools to be ranked in the top 50 for 13 consecutive years.
