Tech Minor Prerequisites and Eligible Majors

Prerequisites: 14-16 units

  • Management 11A (Accounting)   4 units
  • Mathematics 16A–16B, 17A–17B or 21A–21B    6–8 units
  • Statistics 13 or any 100 level course or above   4 units

Students must take these courses for a letter grade. Most prerequisites could be used to partially satisfy the University’s General Education requirements for science and engineering majors. No grade lower than a C- will be accepted in any prerequisite course.

Majors Eligible to Apply for the Minor
Due to limited enrollment, only students from the following majors will be allowed to apply to the Technology Management Minor. The minor is designed to combine business and management skills with a student's understanding of engineering and scientific processes.

Changing Majors in the Technology Management Program
If a student changes majors after being admitted to the Technology Management Minor Program to a major that is not eligible for the program, the student is no longer eligible to continue in the Technology Management Minor Program.
