Robert L. Lorber is president of The Lorber Kamai Consulting Group, a firm formed in 1976. The organization has implemented productivity improvement systems for companies on five continents.

The Lorber Kamai Consulting Group's client roster has included Kraft Foods, SantaFe International, Teichert Inc., Occidental Petroleum, Gillette, Sutter Health, American Express, Mattel, AlliedSignal, Raley's, VSP, Teichert Inc., Maxtor, ETS, Wells Fargo, Waste Connections, Pillsbury, Pfizer, Kaufman and Broad, Tower Records, PRIDE Industries and many other medium-size and Fortune 500 companies.

Lorber is an internationally recognized expert and published author on executive coaching, performance management, leadership, teamwork, culture and developing strategy. He is one of the leading resources worldwide on executive coaching with chief executive officers and senior executives.

Lorber is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller Putting The One Minute Manager To Work, which he created with renowned management consultant Ken Blanchard, One Page Management, co-authored with Riaz Khadem, and Safety 2/7 with Greg Anderson.

His new book: Doing What Matters with Jim Kilts, CEO of Gillette, is being released by Random House in September 2007 with a forward by Warren Buffet.

Lorber's next book, Who Are You and What Do You Want, with Mick Ukleja will be published in 2008.

Lorber is an established professional speaker who has delivered presentations for profit and non-profit audiences throughout the world. He has also shared his insights with television, radio and newspaper audiences across the country.

Lorber works with numerous boards of directors on governance and effective board participation. He currently serves as chairman of the Dean's Advisory Council for the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, the UC Davis School of Medicine's Board of Visitors and many other corporate and not-for-profit boards. Some of these include: Tower Records, The Blanchard Companies, Basic American Industries, The Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation, The Sacramento Region Community Foundation, Sukut Construction, Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy, LeadershipTraq, J&M Realty, Co-Chair of the PRIDE Foundation, the Board of Governors of the Ukleja Center For Ethical Leadership.

In addition to his executive coaching, consulting, writing and speaking pursuits, Lorber is a visiting professor at his alma mater -- the University of California at Davis - where he teaches two MBA courses on leadership in the Graduate School of Management.

Lorber received a master's in sociology and a Ph.D. in organizational psychology. He resides in Davis, California, with his wife Sandy and their three daughters Tracie, Lindie and Kaylie.
